Rod sorry to hear about the destruction of your son's 72 coupe. Wow, almost a 33' wall of water! That would be destructive. I'll have to read up on that. As Steve O said, glad you all are still around.
MGB to Mach 1, now there's a switch of a great proportion. I have only rode in one MG Midget (probably an early 70's) but I remember it being quite small. I imagine that the torque and power of the Mach 1 is a little different to drive as well.
Looking forward to seeing this Mach 1.
Hey Steve - This is link to an article about the flood:

Thanks Rod,
I went on-line yesterday to have a look but I didn't see that specific article. Good article.
Were you able to keep your house? How about the coupe? Did you loose your MGB or other cars?
Was the flood just caused by continual hard rain from there and upstream or had some type of levee or dam let go as well? Other than that horrific disaster it looks like a little bit of paradise.

Hi your right about the 71 to 73s. In WA I have only seen one 73 and that was an auto and only a few 71 and 2s even at all the mustang and ford shows Ive been to. Good luck getting parts for it though as they were the last year it can be difficult. I got a lot of parts from CJ Pony Parts out of the states. very good service an reliable but if you get stuck let me know The mustang guy here is pricy but he will sauce any thing but I'm sure the guys and girls on this site should be able to help you out. Anyway enjoy your ride I know I do.

Hey Steve O,
Mate, we're high and dry this time around. The water got close - we started to move stuff just incase.
The first thing I moved was the Mach 1 - to higher ground, followed by my son's '70 Fairlane 500.
Thanks for the thoughts,
Rod A
