Hi Blue Oval folks
#1
I would like to start off by introducing myself. My name is Dave and I would like to thank the administrator's for the warm welcome. I have a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Grabber Green 351 C with ross flat top pistons, Australian heads ported and polished, crane hyd roller cam, weialand dual intake with 770 street avenger holley carb, Canton oil pan, AOD tranny, Traction lock 3.50 gears, subframe connectors, shelby drop lowered 1 in, negative wedge kit, bumpsteer corrector kit, 3 chamber flowmaters, Baer front dics brakes, 16x8 Haibrand wheels. Other than that the car looks stock. I bought the car in 2002. The drive train was done it just needed painted and chrome goodies. There was no rust in the car except on place just below the driver side remote mirror, from the factory there was a pocket from the undercoding which held water and rusted. Other than that the car was perfect and all correct parts other than the ones listed above. I like this car alot so much that I turned down twice as much as I have in it last fall. I am kind of a Ford nut. Ford's is all I own. I have 4 Mustangs, a F150 and a Excape. I am in the process of restoring a 68.5 CJ fastback, which has a long way to go. I am not a experienced body man but a good friend of mine is so we are restoreing it in his shop. I help him with it every day and I am learning a bunch.
Sorry for such a long post. I will get off here and try to post some pics.
Glad to meet everyone.
If pics don't come out will have to learn how.

Welcome from Iowa

69jimmach I lived in Iowa for 42 years (telling my age now been in arkansas for a while now) I lived about 90 mile north of DesMoines. I was transferred here and love the winters and twisties here. The 68 is a complete restore and is a lot of work but will be worth it when done. My bodyman says he hopes to have it done by July of this year. If I can keep him motivated as I go help him every day. It's alot of fun as I learn a bunch about my car. Her is a few pics of the car in its present stage has a long way to go.
