CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE TRICK TO REINSTALLING THE COVER ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERING COLUMN THAT COVERS THE TURN SIGNAL WIRING ON MY 69? I HAVE ALL READY BROKE ONE AND CAN NOT GET THE SECOND ONE TO STAY CLIPPED?

Not sure about the 69, but on my 73 the clip slides on to lock it into place.

MINE HAS TWO LITTLE CLIPS THAT SLIDE UP INTO THE COLUMN AND CLIP IT. I THINK I NEED TO BEND THEM OUT A LITTLE BIT BUT THE LAST ONE I DID THE CLIP BROKE OFF. SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE OFF OF EBAY. HOPEFULLY I CAN GET THIS ONE TO DO IT WITHOUT BREAKING IT. PEORGIE OUT IN NEW JERSEY HAS A NOS C8OZ.13776.A (WHICH IS MY CLIP) BUT EVERY TIME I CALL THEM THEY WANT WHAT THE PIECE IS WORTH IS SOLID GOLD. ANYBODY GOT AN OLD TORINO OR FAIRLANE THEY ARE PARTING OUT? I THINK THEY HAVE THE SAME THING I NEED

I used my garage heater to gently heat up the plastic sleve and that way it would not be brittle when I pryed it gently apart.
I did so and it worked great.
Heat it up very slowly over about 15 minuites, away from the direct heat.
