Hey everyone I'm Cody I live in Phoenix, AZ and I am currently restoring my 1969 Mach 1. It had been in the family for over 20+ years and I bought it after my uncle had asked me if I knew anyone who wanted to buy one so I went home and told my dad about it (this was a few years back) and I called my uncle up on the phone the next day and told him to hold it for me so I could come up with the funds. I took a loan out from my dad to buy the car for $3,000 yup Three Thousand dollars talk about a steal. After that I sold my then-current project which was a 1967 Mustang Coupe and worked my ass off for the next 6 months to earn money doing odd jobs and such to pay my dad back as I did not have a job. Everyone in the family believed it was just a clone because the driver's door had been replaced so the number was the vin on the dash. Just this last december I decided to purchase a Marti Report because I really wanted to know what my car looked like from the factory and to my great surprise It was a REAL Mach 1! it was an original Black Jade with white Mach 1 Seats, 351 M code 4 speed car with a 3:25 9 inch rear. When I bought it, it had a '71 302 in it which i ditched due to it being all froze up and it now hides a '69 Shelby GT350 351W under the hood with the original tranny and rear end. The car now sports a poorly done and badly faded Indian Fire Red paint job thats about 20 years old but I plan on returning it back to original. After owning the car for about 3 and a half to 4 years Ive just barely been able to really start to work on her. I am 21 years old and am proud to say that I own my dream car and plan to keep her in the family to pass down to my future children when I die.

Welcome to the site from Virginia. I great to hear the younger generation appreciates these old Mustangs.
Sounds like you have worked hard on it and has maintained your interest. It's a great hobby and you get a lot of satisfaction out of the progress you make and the final end result. Keep us posted on your progress and post up some pics.
