So accurate! I repaired about 15 Suzuki vehicles when I was involved with them. Such a great source of factory screws, clips and bolts. Still on really good first name terms with the yard owner. He often helps with my other projects too, by sending me to another yard after a phone call to that yard's owner.

Well a lot has changed since 1986 when the article was written and even since 2011 when Joe posted it. I miss those days when there were junkyards and not the "salvage" yards of today.
When China went to buying metal everything really started to disappear! Even (or especially) here in Mexico where I live. It is really hard to find anything in a yard over ten or maybe fifteen years old and only for a few weeks and then it is gone.
It is great, especially here in the rust-free southwest, to buy a vehicle just to strip and scrap out for all the factory nuts and bolts that one can accumulate.
