i just found this site.
i have a 70 R code stashed in the country in my cousin's garage.
i bought it from his son in 1979,and haven't had a chance to play with it.
motor is long gone,but i have the trans and bellhousing stashed somewhere

Welcome! Glad you found us! Holy crap that poor Mach 1! Your going to be sorry it turned into a storage shelf. I have a friend that did the exact same thing to his 85 5.0 with 22k miles. Now the car looks like it went through hail damage over the entire car.
I agree time to dig it out of that tomb!

it's on jackstands.
the rubber mat on the fender is stuck to it from the heat.
im slowly gatherring parts for it.
