Hello all,
Just picked up a new project. It is a 1973 Mach 1 Q code that has been beefed up a bit. Forged pistons, rocker rollers, solid cam, 3.88 gears reverse valve body and 2500 stall converter. I was told it is producing over 400 HP. Got lots of restoring to do to get it where I want it. I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions. Just sent off for the Marti report.

It looks like all it needs is maybe a front bumper painted and some driving done with it....hehe
For some reason there are more 71-73 mach 1 cars and members than 69-70 mach 1 members.
You should have all the helpful information than you can handle Id bet.
Enjoy.

Thanks!
I don't yet know what 400 HP drives like, because so far I've only driven it in and out of my garage, but it sure sounds awesome. I was told the car was taken to the track and would do high 9's low 10's.
Here is the car that got me started in rescuing these old classics. It was a 1970 Mach I bought for $1,000. Got it home, adjusted the distributor and started driving it while restoring it. Won 14th in best in show at the 2006 Dodge City Days Classic Car Show.
This is what it looked like when I bought it. You can see some of the original color (Calypso Coral) on the bottom.
Here it is when done.

Well Done! The results speak for themselves.
