Hey all,
I have a 71 Mach 1 that I'm restoring. I'm taking a few months off from it now, hoping that Dynacorn or somebody will build a cowl panel!

Welcome.

Looks like you have a nice project. Is this your first big project? So far no one seems to be in line to reproduce the cowl for the 71-73 Mustangs. How far gone is yours?

Thanks, I bought it a few years ago, but just started on it recently. The cowl needs extensive work to the top,bottom, and the apron brackets. As you can see in the picture, I already removed the top. I'm replacing the front clip, it was hit in the front when I bought it. It was also fixed poorly from a prior collision, so I elected to replace the rails and doghouse rather than fix them. I've done many mustangs in the past, but this is my first 71-3.

Welcome to the site! The 71 to 73's have been picking up in popularity lately and more reproduction parts are becoming available. The cowl is a problem area, hopefully a repo will be coming.

Hey GT 500 KR I see you've just joined up here. Me too. You can check on the 69 dragpak I got from you in my 1st post. I have a 71 mach wrecked in the rear but with a great cowl and front rails if you can figure out how to get it down there. Good luck with the project. I'll post some more pics later of the Mach I got from you. The new quarters are on it and I replaced almost all the rest of the sheet metal as well.....
