Good find BDK! My only suggestion is ask for a better picture!
I sent the ebay seller a message so maybe he/she will come here and talk more about it. Who knows maybe even give us a discount. We will see.

Good find! Too bad it says Mach 1 and not Mustang; I guess it wont work on my 73 Convertible.

I got an email from the guy doing the delete plates. He sent me photos.
Ive also asked him to register here to explain what the photos actually entail, since you guys would be the audience hes trying to reach in the first place.
Hope this is a help to members here!

Thanks for the additional pictures, this makes it quite a bit easier to see. However, I had thought the MACH 1 name was overlaid in chrome. From the pictures it appears to be black?????

Here is the response from Chris.
Here are the descriptions of the items also if you need details for anything:
71-73 MACH 1 CLOCK DELETE PLATE:
reproduction clock delete plate for your 71-73 Mustang Mach-1. This mold was made from an original factory part, all dimensions and details are the same. Mounting tabs are intact. Dimensions of the delete plate are 5+1/4” across the middle, and 2+3/8” high, the factory casting numbers are also still intact: D/ZB 6304428 AB This piece was cast black plastic. It can be painted if needed. Lacquer thinner will not harm this material.
71-73 MUSTANG RADIO DELETE PLATE
reproduction radio delete plate for your 71-73 Mustang, also correct for Mach 1. The mold was made from an original factory part, all dimensions and details are the same, even the factory casting numbers on the back. DIZB-6504371-BA Dimensions are 7+3/8" x 2+3/4", studs are 5+7/8" on center. This piece was cast in black plastic, it can be installed as is or painted. Lacquer thinner will not harm this material.
I cast all the parts myself working at home, I guess you could say I am “semi-retired”

I know you can do this part yourself. I bought a console for my 72 Mach awhile back and the guy had redone it, looked awesome, just cant tell you what he used.

Yep, that would be me! I have been casting these for a few years now and was asked to post here by Joe Tokoph. If you need info let me know
