Greetings from Holland

Hello, I am a new member from Holland and I own a '73 Mach 1 (VIN 3F05H103960). I bought my car 11 years ago from a vintage Mustang car dealer who had imported it from the USA and I still think it was used in the "real" Gone in sixty seconds movie because I haven't found one peace of sheet metal that wasn't damaged (as I learned later on in my project). I payed far to much money for it but when you're in love you don't care. It had no rust and they had put some fresh paint on it so I drove it around for a couple of years just to show off a bit but the not so very powerful Cleveland start to get more tired by the day and it begged for forged pistons and a Holley and and and.... I think that there is not a single factory build vehicle in the world that is answering to my needs and when I pulled the engine out I thought hey why not put in a roll cage and some race seats and and and... so I stripped the car completely (I had worked as a mechanic for a race team, we raced an IROC Camaro in the 80s, yeah I know, but everbody is entitled to make one mistake in his life) no just kidding, I do love other muscle cars as well. Now the car is out of order for 5 years and because of the #1 reason (lack of money) it will be for a couple of years before it will see the road again. Pictures will follow.
Greetings, Jack

Welcome Jack.

Sounds like a great love of the car. We will be looking forward to the pictures to go along with the history. I also own a 3F05H but mine is quite a bit latter - 221215.

Sorry to hear that you discovered so much panel damage. At least you had no rust to deal with.

Anyway, glad to have you here with us and really looking forward to your post, ideas and insight.

WELCOME!

LMAO!!!!

Welcome to the site.....Would be awsome if your Mach REALLY was apart of the original Gone in 60 Seconds. Although I imagine the damage would be worse then what you are dealing with. Look forward to seeing some photo's
