In an effort to be a better Mach 1 enthusiast and a more helpful moderator I am looking into buying some books. I have two specific ones in mind at this time:

1. Mustang Restoration Guide by Tom Corcoran & Earl Davis $36.95

2. Mustang ... By the Numbers $ 24.95

Anyone have a review of these two that they would like to share and/or an addition to my list.

We cross the U.S. / Mexico border about once a month for our church ministry needs. Normally the wait is 1/2 hour but we have spent up to 5 hours sitting in line. Always a good time to read.

Steven,

Here is a link to a thread I started about the Restoration Guide. There is a link in the post that gives some excerpts from the book. This is the book I have used to post some pics of here too, such as the exhaust pictures I recently posted.

Its a pretty good book, my only complaint is that most of the diagrams are fairly small, although readable. Make sure you get at least the second edition (not sure if there is a third), it was edited to add the 71 - 73 info to the back of the book.

Here is the link to the other thread:

Thanks Jim,

What is the Mustang Red book about?

Thanks Mike,

With a pre-view it looks like what I am looking for.

How about it guys. Anyone else want to suggest an add to my library?

"Mustang By The Numbers" is a worthy investment. Lots of facts and information - some of which will surprise you. Excellent reference guide.

The Red book is how many were produced and what kind of options were availible for mustangs from 1965 to 1995.
