Bracket Help
#1
I need help re-installing this bracket. It is located on the rear seat/trunk divider. I removed it to install the righthand trunk floor. I have since misplaced my measurements. My Mach 1 was a basket case when I bought it, I can't find anything that it mounts. My car has the fixed seat, I'm thinking it may have something to do with the fold down option. Any help or measuements would be appreciative. Thanks

Our 69 has the fixed seat also but don't recognize the bracket but I don't spend a lot of time in the trunk. I will take a look tomorrow and see if I can get a picture and measurements for you.

Sorry, I am not close to my Mach 1 to have a look at it for you. The answer will be forth coming. Don't hesitate to remind us if you don't get an answer here directly.

I got my seats out and put them in there, they don't even come close to touching the bracket. The fold down option may have something to do with it, but i'm doubting that now. Was there some kind of panel that attatched to the trunk divider that filled the hole in the divider. I'm stumped, Huh that bracket looks like it has a purpose besides attatching the trunk divider. I'm not welding it in until I/we can figure it out. Those pics are huge, don't know why that happened. Thanks for any info

The bracket sits with the tab with the hole turned inboard. The blank tab fits against the divider and there is 3-5/8" between the bracket and the inner fender well. See attached photo.

Hope this is what you need.

Bob.harlan, thanks for the measurements, I compared them with the marks on the divider, it seems to match up quite closely. Do you know if anything bolted or attached to the circular hole in this mount. Mine does not have any sign that anything was attached to it. Just wanting to confirm before I weld it on. Once again, thanks

there is nothing attached on ours. Don't know what they are for. Maybe someone with a fold down rear seat can shed some light on the brackets use.

Thanks folks, I got it back in. For future reference, if you have a fold down seat this bracket will affect the mounting of the floor panel. The fixed seat or trunk divider does not connect to this bracket.
