Kinda off the beaten path of muscle cars but twin turbo 12 cylinder 750hp does give the crotch rockets a fit

Hey Moss. I have question about your Ferrarri, if you don't mind me asking.
I used to work with a Navy Commander who collected cars. He was looking at buying a Ferrari, but ended up not doing so. He told me the Ferraris he test drove really didn't have much power until he revved them above 6000 RPM; then they came on like a screaming Banchi.
Is your Ferrari like this? Perhaps it was just a particular model my Commander friend was test driving. By no means do I think that would be a bad thing. I've just never driven a Ferrari and I'm curious about where how the power bands tend to work.
Thanks!

Klutch, what you heard is true of early, pre 2000 Ferrari's. The Testorossa is a twelve cylinder which helps some on the low end but its a flat 12 and its like laying 2 crotch rocket engines on there side so yes it loves 4000 and up however, mine is a Norwood Ferrari twin turbo conversion. They are the only Ferrari hot rod shop of their kind and their work looks bone stock but makes 750hp. That, of course changes everything. Believe it or not at speed it will stay with my ninja 1400 which is quite a feat in itself, haha. If you look close enough through the back grill you will see the polished turbos. It really makes the car fun and the exhaust runs directly out of the turbo to the rear. It sounds like a formula 1 car. Billy

Thanks, Billy. Wow, a twin-turbo Ferrari must be like being strapped into a Saturn V rocket!
