I couldnt get the time to fly over and look myself but relied on the LLC Inspection and some interaction with the seller so hopefully all works out well.
Seller sent the car for a freshen up & service once we struck the deal & her garage guy pulled problems with the brakes and axle seals/bearings, she had everything rectified and sent me copies of repair invoices so I'm trusting this reflects the honesty in the sales description.
Its a long wait now, through US export customs, 3 weeks at sea, 1 week through UK customs, registration with UK DMV etc etc, looking at September before I get behind the wheel
Thanks all

Hopefully it will be worth the wait! You'll have plenty of time to come up with a "to do" list of what you want to do to it.

Let's hope that the time flies for you. Got a sneaking suspicion though that it might seem like eternity. Here's hoping for the best.

I bet it feels like a new car with all those stickers on it. Looks great and well worth the wait. Looks like maybe a real main seal leak you were pointing out. Overall a very nice Mach 1!

Thanks!
Its the rear main seal and the gasket on the spacer plate, a minor weep built up over time, not dropping oil yet, easy enough to do, will swap sump gasket at the same time.

Congratulations Roger!
It looks like it was well worth the wait. Got to be a good feeling to pass MOT inspections with flying colors and have a clear bill of flight.
Are you happy with the purchase as represented to you? What are your thoughts after having had the opportunity to take it for a run?
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks Steven,
I'm 100% with the purchase, the LLC inspection was on the ball and it was a great help with the seller being totally honest and up front, the car, after cleaning away the remnants of the journey, was actually in a better condition than I expected.
I havnt driven the car yet, its been trailered for the mot test as I have to wait for a registration mark before using on the highway, should be issued within the next 10 days

Great to hear!
Now we wait to hear the review of the initial drive. Got any takers for co-pilot?
