Just wanted to know if anyone has experience with replacement parts such as hoods, fenders, doors etc..
I know the companies are Sherman, Dynacorn, Goodmark and a few others.
Has anyone bought anything from any of these manufacturers?
How was fitment?
How much modifying did you have to do to make it right?
Im hunting a Hood for my stang and Im afraid to pull the trigger.

I have no experience with any of these companies. But when I purchased mine the po (previous ower)had bought from a mustang company and the fit wasnt that great the gaps are off on the doors and fenders I worked fro a week to get them close.Im still not impressed with the fitment. But have also looked at many other cars and pics and mine are as close as theirs.I dont want to mention the co.cause I do buy a lot from them and their other parts fit great.

I only had to replace the tail light panel on my 73 convertible and the body shop guy said the fitment was fine. I understand the reproduction parts use a thinner but stronger steel, so there is some fitment problems with fenders and such. I haven't seen any repro doors for the 71 to 73's yet unless they just came out recently.
I bought my tail light panel from CJ Pony Parts.

For the record this has been discussed many times on many websites. When I cracked up the hood on my 72 I spent a lot of time looking for a NASA Hood.
What I found out is that they are all pretty much the same company pressing the metal in China and then these companies you mentioned above buy those parts. Some have higher quality control standards and some just take the left overs.
Any part you buy, just assume it will need some extra fabrication/bodywork.
My best advise is to establish a relationship with a local company in your area that will stand behind the part they sell. This could be hard to accomplish. And if they do stand behind it, they will more than likely require you to pay shipping for the returned part.
I also don't think Dynacorn sells direct to the public.

Rare pony, AWESOME pics of a tail light panel replacememnt. Does anyone have similar pics of a trunk floor and trunk drop off replacement being done ? I have to do both to mine. Luckily that is the only rust areas on the car! and I have all the sheetmetal alraedy to do it.
