Just came across this site over lunch via a Google search.
Thought I'd register in hopes of having a good avenue for questions, information and opinions as I (slowly) get my 1969 Mach 1 back in shape.
I bought my car in 1985 the summer before my senior year of high school. It is a numbers matching 351W 4 barrel car with a 4 speed and A/C. It is the Acapulco blue color.
The picture is a cruddy scan from my 35mm print from 1985.
I will post pictures of current state soon once I learn the ropes here.
Dss welcome to the club, nice to have you here. Looks like an awesome Mach 1 and you've owned it forever I bet its awesome, cant wait to see more photos!!
Please feel free to jump on in we have a great group of people here!
Looks cool and I'm hoping to learn a lot from everyone's combined knowledge.
I have long since sold the Cragars shown in the picture. I still have the stock rally type with the beauty rings and center caps. I plan to put some black centered torque thrust type wheels on it (I think) when It is back on the street (similar to what is shown in the wheel test picture attached).
I plan to keep all my stock parts (engine included) but am not going back 100% stock. We already have another 351 that is getting some performance work done to it. I want a certain look, stance, power, etc. but still want to be able to put it back to completely stock in the event I choose that route down the line (or when I kick the bucket and the kids sell it... LOL)
