I have an inquiry of some information I need before heading to my next decision. Does anyone know the size dimension on the front seat of a 1971-73 Mach 1. I am looking install a pair of newer Mustang front seat on my restomod. Currently replaced floor pan and about to weld in the seat pans but if I have modify these seat pans to make newer seat work I need these dimensions to know which way to go. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

If you are using 71 73 pans then you would need to know the dimension of the new seat to know how to modify the old pans. Correct?

If you are using replacement seat pans I think you have to cut them down to fit like the originals did in the fastbacks. I just did mine and they are only repopping the coupe seat pans which are about inch higher than fastback pans. So if your tall you head might be close to roof if you don't cut them down.
