Hey, I just purchased a 1972 Mach I today and the VIN is 2F05H139683.

Can anyone tell me anything about the car? It has been blue, red and black. I can't tell what is original but I'm guessing blue. It is sanded and under primer now so it's a tough call for an beginner.SSig_help

Hey, I just found a site that helped. According to this my car was Ginger Brown. I think I'll go back with Grabber Blue unless someone on here tells me that it will drastically reduce the value.

Thanks!New

Welcome2 was going to say to look at door tag and that will help a little on paint codes and trim, but you seem to be well on your way Big Grin

Thanks Mr. Thunder! I appreciate all the input I can get.

I have always had Dodge challengers and Plymouth Cudas so a Mustang is a very new adventure.SCo_hmmthink

Welcome from Virginia. Sounds like you found some good info. Keeping the original color may be of some value, especially if you are going to Mustang oriented shows where they judge by points, but otherwise paint it the color you prefer. Post up some pics when you get a chance. You can even post up some pics of your Challengers and Cuda's!

Always remember. Hoof beats are louder then heartbeats, and the dodge boy's never knew what hit them when the Mustangs busted down the corral! Mustangs Forever!!! Winner Everything else is second place. JTS 71 Mach1
