Ive been looking at various sites and Yahoo images, I can find some
Boss 429s with side scoops, But
havent found any Boss 302 with side scoops..
Interesting that I keep finding different info,
The non-functional quarter panel scoops were eliminated on the Mustang Boss 302 models.

The Boss 302 was built from ford . It was mayed as a road racing car in Trans Am . It was said to be one of best driving cars on the tracks and street . The motor is a 4 bolt main caps . The freeze plugs are scew in to the block . Block is special windsor racing block .The heads are cleveland so the water passage was changed on the block . Intake is for the Boss only one of many used . It is a small block . Much lighter weight . The car mayed great power and it all so handled very well on the track as well as on the street . The track car was for racing . On the street It was detuned to make less power . The Boss 302 didn,t have a hood was plain . The 1/4s didn,t have a side scoop . I believe the car had a 4 speed only and a locking rearend . I hope this will help out on what you are trying to find out
