1972 original paint questions

c9zx Chuck that would be awesome if you dont mind sending me pics , that would help me out alot and be greatly appreciated. No hurry take your time, as I'm still doing body work and getting her ready for paint. If you dont mind could you send them to my personal e-mail ? I am still learning how to navigate this site and some times I cant seem to get were I want. If only I knew as much about computers as I do about engines it would help.

I used pictures from 2 unrestored cars before deciding this is correct. The white car is mine, the red car is an unrestored 72 Mach. Let me know if I can help.

From what I know, the hood paint is PPG Duracryl Acrylic Lacquer DDL 9381 HP Black High performance mar resistent for exterior low gloss surfaces i.e. do not polish.

A quart of the original paint seems to show up on e*ay every once in while and sells out really quick for way too much money. I'm sure by now someone has figured out how to reproduce it though.
