To post a pic go down the bottom and there is a box labeled "attachments". Go to the "New attachment" and click "browse" then you can locate your picture on your computer. You might have to shrink it if it is to big though. Then click "add attachment" and repeat if you have more to add. When you are ready click "insert into post" then when you are finished press the "post reply" button.
Hello again from Ohio,
Thanks for the Help, I had to re-size the photos.
Still a little snowy here, I got a few pictures of the Mach. I don’t have a lot of background on her, however from what I have been able to put together it appears to be a late 90s restoration that was possibly shown in the pro street class? There is a sticker in the window that reads ISCA (for what that’s worth) VIN shows Q code (CJ maybe?). The paint has minor cracks and chips throughout, though the car is solid with light surface rust on the underbody. The previous owner left the car outside for a time as the wheels were oxidized and some type of forest dwelling creatures made their home in the heater box. I have just finished cleaning out the nest and re-wiring the dash (most of the wiring under there was hogged up). I have spent about 12 hours on polishing the wheels, I thought I could save them but a few of the pits are too deep too polish out, oh well. My plan now is to enjoy the car for the summer and maybe start the restoration in the fall.
The Mach has a four link suspension and narrowed rear end this looks to be professionally done (I am not an expert here so any advice on determining this would be appreciated). After Christmas I plan on having the rear end rebuilt as the existing 5:14 gear is way too tall for the street.
Does anyone know what the Mach 1 NASA package consisted of?
Below are the Specs I have been able to determine so far.
• 351 Cleveland 4v
• 4 Speed (Tremec, maybe? any advice here would help)
• Hurst Shifter
• 9-inch rear axle
• 5.14 Rear Gear
• 4 Wheel Disk Brakes
• Koni Adjustable Shocks
• Full Length Racing Headers
• Performance Mallory Distributor and Coil
• Shaker Hood (was this only available aftermarket, Advice?)
Thanks in advance, Great site with some fine looking cars.
Yes Huge tires 33 X 19.5 x 15
As for the two power ports I was told that they were remote battery ports as the battery has been relocated to the trunk, along with a 10 gallon fuel cell. "Scary" Im having Pinto flashbacks.
Now that spring has sprung and all that white stuff is just a painful memory, how's the car? Have you been able to get her out and let her stretch her legs? What's your thoughts?
As to your 4-speed, I would imagine that it is the factory normal top loader. What kind of upgrades have been done to your motor?
