Anyone who has ever been drag racing knows that shaving seconds off your quarter-mile time gets exponentially harder the lower you go. For example if your car runs 15?s out of the box, then getting it into the 14?s or even the 13?s is totally plausible. However once you break into that sweet spot of sub-10 second times, life gets a whole lot more complicated. Currently there are only a handful of stock street cars that run the quarter mile in under 11 seconds and they all cost upwards of $150,000. Then there is the 1990 Ford Mustang LX owned by one David Wofle. Sure it’s a fully modified drag car, but keep in mind that this video shows it running 6.57 at 227 mph – ON DRAG RADIALS NO LESS!! Ladies and gents, that’s a new record. Congrats to David Wofle on that AMAZING run!
