or do you drive it all year?
Please don't tell me you drive it all year!
I've lived back there for a couple of years (York Mills, Oakville, Peterborough)
...I have a pretty good idea what the Winter's are like, eh!
And ya, keep the pics comin'!
Larry
The Mach is put away for the season under her blankie in the garage. My 2011 is parked right beside.
No I do not drive the Mach all year round. The closest she's been to snow is when I had my 1st house, I did not have a garage & my parents were nice enough to let me store in their carport for the winter months.
That season my wife bought me the sequential flashers for Christmas!! Installed on my parent's driveway a few days after Christmas. Shoveled and backed the Mach out.
My DD after buying my Mach was a '93 Lincoln Mark VIII. I loved that car and bought it in 1995.
My starter home, before marriage too. Small lot with a shared drive so I parked in the backyard. No garage.
Was cool for a couple of years owning 2 DOHC 4.6 cars.
Unfortunately the body on the Mark VIII started to go, too high quotes to fix so got rid and picked up a 2000 3.8l 5 sp Mustang.
It was good. I got 15" winter tires, I had a blast in the snow. Drive smart and no issues.
Below is a pic in the backyard of OUR 2nd home. My 1st home was not big enough for the 2 of us, so it was sold.
Now married. Actually my wife (Suzy - g/f back then) talked me into buying the Mach when I lived @ my 1st home. I had talked myself out. She's a keeper after that for sure!
Fast forward a few years; was at a dealership when a friend told me he was picking up his brand new GT500, the year they came back. I was there early with the Mach, wanted to cruise later and started talking to the sales staff.
Mentioned how I always wanted a convertible.
Well SOB they had someone trading a Mustang vert and after some talk, I ended up putting $500 down and had 1st right of refusal for it.
It came in and I drove it. Was pleased so we talked trade of my 2000 3.8l.
Ended up driving that vert from 2006 until this past summer.
I really enjoyed that vert. 1st vert. I had the usual mods done, STB, Full length subframe connectors, CAI, light bar, short shifter and of course Borla cat back. PURE ear candy in a vert to me.
The vert was a DD for a while, until I paid it off and got me
I decided on a truck because Sue and I were talking about leaving the GTA & moving out in the country. Ok need a 4x4.
IT has been very helpful.
More recent pic...
Dealership thought I wanted to trade my vert on the truck. Uh no we (wife and me) enjoy the vert toooo much.
The pic above is my truck with a few mods. Yesterday I put on the original wheels with winter rubber. Fun truck.
Here is what I traded my 2003 GT vert on, parked at our home (Moved here Sept 2009)
LIFE IS GREAT!
