First released back in 1972 the Porsche 911 RS became the first in a line of track oriented super cars that Porsche produced for the road. It was light, fast, powerful and built as a homoligation special. The sporting public immediately fell in love with the car and thus by keeping it in production through each new model, Porsche created a road going legend. This video goes through the sorted evolution of how, and more importantly why the RS cars live and breath today. This video gives us a first hand look what makes these super cars so special by specifically focusing on the aforementioned 1972 911, the 996 GT3 RS and the new 997 RS.
