Dodge ‘Appraisal’ Commercial Is Another Win For Chrysler

Dodge is getting some mileage out of their “Freedom” ad series, which features George Washington and friends driving black Dodge Challengers to rout the British. In the latest ad, an sweet, little old lady visits various antique stores to sell, among other things, a rare photograph of her great-great grandfather posing with George Washington at the “Battle of Long Island”. In the background, of course, is a 2010 Dodge Challenger. Confusion and hilarity ensues, mixed with a healthy dose of attitude from some of the vendors pranked.

The best comment in the video is, “What did the British drive?” As we all know, that would have been Series II Land Rovers, but the clerk just seems clueless. Too bad he proved to be a complete tool later in the video, whining about having a busy day.
Dude, you’re an antiques dealer. How busy does your day get? Do five customers on a single day have you running for the Prozac? Dear God, what if the phone rings?

The video is good for a chuckle, and reinforces what we always suspected: first, antique dealers (for the most part) just don’t have a sense of humor, and second, you can’t always trust little old ladies.
