Hey guys i'd like to just take some time to say that I've always loved '69 Mach 1s (or any year for that matter)

i'm gonna be buying a 1969 Mach 1 from my buddy's grand dad hopefully in the next few days and i'm doin some research now about it like the right tires to buy (maybe 275 Nito 555R?) and all kinds of stuff like performance ratings, upkeep, typical issues, and over all maintenance stuff so if you have any comments let me know and have a great day

Welcome! Hopefully we can help you out. We don't have lots of 69 Mach 1's here but we have a few, once you get involved more in the restoration process hopefully you'll spread the word about our site. Definitely cant have to many members.

Look forward to seeing some photos once you get the Mach 1!

Welcome to the Club! That print is great incentive to fix up a 69. If your friends grand dad has owned it for a long time, try to get him to tell you the history of the car and any cool stories he may have; better yet, record his comments! Just a suggestion.

I also love the 69s. Welcome to the club. Tires are a big issue. But a lot depends on what look you're going for. I my case traction was and is the issue. If you want to stay original that's one thing. If you want function, thats another. Can't have both. The old technology didn't work as well as the new.
Tell us about the ride. 351, 390, or 428? 4 speed or C6? Any mods to the engine?

Welcome to the gang! I'm afraid I won't be much help when it comes to refurbishing your Grandpa's Mach, because I have a newer model.

On the other hand, I might be able to lend a hand when it comes to performance issues...feel free to PM me anytime!
