Hi. My name's Matt and I just got my car yesterday. I'm a big fan of european cars, but I've always wanted a V-8 Mustang. I make my living as a F/A-18C Hornet mechanic in the United States Navy.

You didn't mention what condition your Mach 1 is in but I imagine you can't wait to get your hands on the engine. Welcome. I am curious to know what, if anything, you do with the CJ. Post some pics!

I promise there will be pictures as soon as I can steal my camera back from my friend. He just got a 2003 Mach 1, and he stole my camera so he could take pictures of it.
My 1973 is in beautiful condition. I want to build the engine a little, and return it to its original white color.

Welcome to the Club. It seems the popularity of the 71 to 73 Mustangs is finally picking up. Post up those pics!

Nice looking Mach 1. I like the bright colors they offered in the early 70's.
Just in case you didn't know the grill you have is the standard Mustang grill. The Mach 1 should have the honeycomb style grill which was also optional as the Decor Option on the rest of the Mustangs. You have the proper Black headlight doors that go with the honeycomb grill (instead of chromed). The honeycomb grills only came into reproduction about a year or so ago, so yours was probably replaced with what was available at the time. Just thought you may want to know!
Here is a pic of the honeycomb grill on my 73 vert.
