Become a scumbag and turn in your neighbor today!
#1
Here is something that I’m having a hard time with. Apparently a company called Narc That Car is paying people to report the license plate numbers of their neighbors automobiles in order to give repo-companies current information on where delinquent borrowers may reside. Are you kidding me? What ever happened to basic elementary school principles such as: Love thy neighbor or treat everyone as you would like to be treated? If you travel to the above website you’ll see they tout the act of betraying thy neighbor as nothing more than starting your own business.

“Thinking about starting your own business? Maybe you simply would like to earn extra income for you or your family. If so, would you like to generate your own income for simply gathering information? Want to learn more about how this opportunity works and what it takes to get started?”

One should also think of the moral and legal ramifications of going down this road. First off if ANY of your neighbors find out you will automatically be branded as any of the following: “betrayer, blabbermouth, canary, deep throat, double-crosser, fink, informant, narc, nark, rat, sneak, snitcher, source, squealer, stool pigeon, stoolie, tattler, tattletale, tipster, turncoat, weasel, whistle-blower”.

Secondly, you’ll most likely feel bad about yourself and need therapy and or a possible confession at church. Third is that if you live in a neighborhood like mine, and some select neighbors find out what you’re doing, you may not only find yourself in hot water, but sleeping with the fishes as well…

There is a catch for losers that want to do this, it will cost you 100 bucks to get signed up with this lame company. So you decide if its worth it! LAMES!!

I see big lawsuits in this companies future. Seems to me this is some Stalker law here as well as invasion of privacy.

A Dallas company claims people can earn money by recording the license tag numbers from vehicles.

Narcthatcar.com is operated by Narc Technologies of Dallas.

Blogs and e-mail show a surge of interest in the Web site, which includes an online presentation about the company strategy.

“Narcthatcar.com was started to provide historical location data for lien holders, law enforcement and other entities,” according to the Web site.

Company Claims Recording Car Tags Can Lead to Profit

The site claims it is a multilevel business opportunity that pays people to enter vehicle tag information online.

But there is a $100 upfront fee to become a representative. The site suggests that representatives can earn additional profits by recruiting consultants who would work for them.

“We’ve had over all about 6,000 inquiries in a very short period of time,” said Dallas Better Business Bureau spokeswoman Jeannette Kopko. “That’s a lot.”

Kopko said the high number of inquires is because the company’s field representatives have been holding “opportunity meetings” around the country to recruit consultants who are seeking more information about the company.

The company’s Web site says information gathered by those consultants would help create a database of vehicle tag information that is sold to customers who may be looking for that vehicle.

“Once purchased, a custom map showing all locations, date and time for this vehicle has been created,” the Web site says.

The Better Business Bureau has asked for additional information from the company to determine whether Narc Technologies really provides a service or just makes its money by recruiting consultants who pay their fees, but then have a hard time actually earning any money themselves.

“We have received some information from the business, and we are reviewing that information that they provided to us,” Kopko said.

NBCDFW attempted to call the phone number shown for the business at Narcthatcar.com but was not successful.

Repeatedly, NBCDFW worked through a phone tree, only to reach a recording that said, “Sorry, this mailbox is full and cannot accept any more recordings. Thank you for using the voice mail system. Goodbye.”

NBCDFW visited the company’s business address on Empire Central Place in Dallas and met a man who identified himself as the company’s operations manager.

He said company phones are busy because Narc Technologies has more than 20,000 participants. He declined to answer any other questions and said the company’s CEO would call us back, but we have received no return calls.

The Better Business Bureau recommends that potential participants be cautious about multilevel marketing companies.

“Beware if there are inflated earnings claims, especially for a new business, and how they would be able to back up those claims,” Kopko said.

A spokesman for the Texas Attorney General’s Office confirms that it too has received a consumer inquiry about Narc Technologies.

The attorney general has posted online information about how consumers can discern between multilevel marketing companies that are legal and pyramid schemes, which are not legal in Texas.
