If you have late model (from the early 90's or newer)car or truck, then you probably have plastic headlight lenses.
These can turn yellow or dull, even dingy and scratchy looking over time.
This is a simple way to get that yellow look off, and make them a bit more shiny. It will even get fine sctratches out.
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
* Tools needed, cordless drill
* buffing pad,
* metal polish.
* Blue painter's masking tape.
* Or if you prefer, by hand, a clean rag for the polish,
* clean lint free rag for the buffing,
* and metal polish.
* Ladies that polish that came with your new flat glass top stove will work just fine also.
Step 1
First place strips of the painters tape on the parts of the car around the headlight you do not want polished, this is any painted surface or other surface not part of the headlight lenses. Usually a masked area of 3 to 4 inches around the headlight is sufficient.
Step 2
Second put the buffing pad in the drill, then apply a small amount of polish to the headlight, about a dimes size drop in the middle of the light, slowly start the drill and let the buffing pad do its work, by applying slight pressure to the drill.Take care not to let the buffing pad sit and turn in one spot. this will produce uneven results.
Step 3
Take a lint free rag, and buff by hand to remove polish residue.
Soon you will have a clean shiny headlight.
