Valley pan fitment?
#1
Hi all,
The 2v I bought is not what it seems, the 4 barrel Holley is sitting on a "351Boss unique part" intake according to the casting numbers and a web site I've found and now that I've finally looked the heads are 4v ones.
I had the oil pan off last week and it is a 2 bolt block with an H code part Vin on it, but not the Vin of the car sadly Confused

My question is as I ordered lots of bits from the US I now have a Felpro intake and valley pan kit for a 2v but will the valley pan fit as I assume it fit's to the block and not the heads?

All parts are 2 or 3 times the price here so I bought lots of bits some of which fit and some don't but I can't send them back as the postage can be 3 or 4 times the value of the part.
I've now fitted new UCA's and LCA's with Hotkins progressive springs ( it's now about 1/2" to ! 1" lower) new track rod arms and a new idler arm have been fitted and have just rebuilt the control valve and steering pump but am having trouble getting the ram seals in ( first ones from NPD seemed the wrong size) but have ordered a Gates set from a UK company at approx 6 times the Rockauto price!!
I laid on my back for an hour the other day and fitted a new oil pan ( while the centre link was off) difficult job as the rubber half seals at each end didn't fit the new pan very well ( Felpro again) I think it's the pan shape (NPD blue painted) the ends were "too shallow" so I'm expecting it too leak!

If anyone can help with the Valley question then I might only have to buy the intake gaskets  Wink
