Don't know if anybody's heard the news yet, but Kit Sullivan passed a few days ago (23 Oct).
Known as quite a strong-willed and sometimes outspoken Mustang owner and enthusiast - Kit was an original 1971 Mustang owner since he bought his 1971 429 Mustang Mach 1 brand new. He has provided much-valued information about our cars and helped many in their desire to understand how these cars came out when new. My conversations with him were always interesting, although could be a little challenging at times, but overall he was a nice guy who just wanted to make sure everybody had the right information.
He was in a really bad motorcycle accident the first part of this month, and had to undergo multiple surgeries just to survive. After his accident - he was placed in hospice... the damage was just too much. Tough news. From what I understand at least he passed in comfort under hospice care and surrounded by his family.
Kind of puts things into perspective about just how fragile life can be, and how you never know when it could all be taken away.
