I ordered a power steering pressure hose (351C w/AC) and it is extremely long, but also the fitting to the pump itself doesn't fit correctly. Can anyone point me in the direction to get the correct hose?

HHHHMMMMMM, If I Just had to guess. I'd think that was more for a 69/70 as they had the slave cylinder style power steering down below on the steering linkage. 71 was the first year for the integral power steering box, so the hose was quite shorter. I just looked on Rock Auto.com, and they show a long hose and a short hose, with a build date of May 1st 72, and up being the shorter hose. The price is reasonable at 10 to 15 dollars. I also found them in my Macs Antique Auto Parts catalog for the 64 to 73 Mustangs.
www.macsautoparts.com. they also show 2 different hoses. They are claiming May 1st 72 and up as being the newer steering box with the short hose. My 71 Mach1 had it for sure, so go figure. I'll bet dollars to donuts you need the shorter hose, the picture you showed is exactly what they looked like, coupler in the hard line and all. Hope it helps.
