Replacing Gauge cluster buls
#1
Is it possible to change the bulbs without removing the gauge cluster?
Does anyone have a diagram that shows the back of the gauge cluster that shows which bulb goes to which gauge? Turn, fuel etc.

As I remember you can reach them from the rear. You have to be a contortionist to lay on your back and be able to reach up in behind the cluster. Then if you turn on the parking lights, and turn the dimmer control all the way up, you should be able to see which ones are glowing, and which ones are not. Replace all the dim, or not glowing at all, and you should be fixed. It ain't easy, cause you have to bend your neck up against the brake/ clutch pedal, or gas pedal to see up in behind there. So Good Luck.

If it's a factory air conditioned car you will have to remove the dash pad and then instrument panel.  By that time it might be worth replacing all the bulbs and maybe the printed circuit panel.

The dash pad might look intimidating but is rather simple to remove.  It might take 20-30 minutes.  One note would be the clock panel on the passenger side stays attached to the dash pad when removing the pad.  After removal you will see the two remaining screws on the back side holding the clock panel to the dash pad.  The tabs for those two screws are often broke off from a previous owner who didn't know how to remove the dash pad.

To disconnect the clock wires, either drop the glove box completely open or after all the dash pad screws are removed, slide the dash pad out a few inches and disconnect the wires.  The second method has been easier for me.
