'71 Mach 1 - should any thing light up on the dash when you turn the ignition on?
Turn the key on mine and the dash stays blank? Most cars have an ignition light come on when the key is turned.

If memory serves me right. I believe the only lights that come on would be the Oil Pressure, and Alternator light? If you have the triple gauges in the center of the dash, then I'm thinking you wouldn't have any lights at all. I could be wrong??? as it's been a very long time since I had my Mach1. Somebody else should be along soon. and maybe they can confirm or correct my answer.

Thanks for the reply JTS.
I have the triple centre gauges so have no dash lights, except the red brake warning light. Should this come on, then go out when started?

I forgot about the red brake light ' and yes you're correct it will come on with the key, and go out once started. if it stays on you have a pressure imbalance between the front and rear brake systems, due to a leak or??? As long as it goes off you're good.

Sorry, forgot about this thread I started!!
Red brake warning light does not come on when ignition is turned on, but I know it is working, as it came on when I bled the brakes recently. I thought it should do though, like you said!
