Was wondering if anyone had any tricks for putting on the doors having trouble with the upper hinge back plate keeps falling down. Thanks Jim.

I haven't tackled the doors yet. Mine are getting close to needing it but only because the body line shows me its dropped down a little.

No help here either. The body shop had my doors off, but I do not know what method they used to re installed them. Hopefully some one here knows the trick.

Plates inside the door should have tabs hammered over to keep them from falling out - but still be able to move
Ones on the body slip into the tabs then drop down a bit so they can freely move but not fall out
Look inside for a bent or broken tab
Also double check that you have them in the right locations - there are 4 different plates on the jambs

Thank you Don. It is the one in the pillar on top. Every time I go to put the bolts in it slides back and then falls down. When I put it in it does line up with the 2 tabs and the slides down into place. It just keeps sliding back and off though. Thanks Jim.

Jim put it in place and tap / slightly snug up the tabs to help it stay in place - it still needs to move though

Thanks guys I'm going to try and put them on Sunday. Also Don do you guys at Ohio Mustang have a catalog you can send me. I usually buy from Mustangs unlimited and CJ Pony parts. I still need interior parts to complete my car. Thanks Jim.
