Wow guy's I'm jealous. It's a big Country, and World so meets like this are few, and far between. But cool as heck when they happen! Thanks for the pics.
Great to meet you and thanks for so graciously allowing me to drive your beautiful Mach 1!
Steve O also generously gave the three teenage boys of the family I was with a "never forget ride" of a lifetime in his Mach 1. Always a good thing when you can save a young'n from becoming "Holden" :)
Steve O Is correct, with my daughter's full approval, it looks like her Mustang might be put on hold to get mine on the road. I am sure some argument along the line of why I have to let her drive mine is also in mind.
Anyway, ... It was a real joy to meet up with Steve O - thanks mate.

It was great, and he happened to be staying just 2 minutes around the corner from where I live and I live in the middle of nowhere . Pastor Curtis couldn't believe that Steven had travelled all the way from Mexico and knew somebody just down the road. Too bad it was for only one night.
I have had the special opportunity to meet a lot of the members here and without exception it has been a wonderful experience!
My latest opportunity came recently (August 10th) while passing through Iowa as I was given the opportunity to meet Black Jade and his wife.
Black Jade had previously generously offered to complete my set of 65 Mustang buckets for my daughter Anna's car since I have two for one side but none for the other. The catch of course was that his seat was in Iowa and I live in old Mexico.
BUT - I do have family roots in Iowa as well as a couple of sponsoring churches (for our ministry) so I knew that in time I would get through Iowa. Black Jade was gracious enough to hold the seat for me but even better volunteered that he actually had a rare bench seat for the 65! Then he gave my daughter a choice - so with parental persuasion Anna chose the bench - and then he generously gave us both! The expression on my daughter's face though shows the excitement of her decision.
Well in August our opportunity to pass through Iowa presented itself! I was a couple of hours from Black Jade on the Saturday night that I had available after driving all day so Black Jade in his generosity volunteered to meet me half way although he too was just getting back from a trip to Ohio! What a gentleman and what a supportive spouse as she came along for the meet!
Now one would think that I would of had enough sense to get the obligatory meet-up photo, but I didn't! We did spend a couple of hours talking in the parking lot though exchanging Mustang and general car stories before reluctantly parting ways and heading back to our respective locals.
Thank you Black Jade (and Mrs.) for your generosity and time. We hope to return someday with more time and enough sense to at least get a picture together!
Thank you to each of you that God has given me the joy and opportunity to meet.

Good stuff. After meeting you Steven I reckon Black Jade was lucky to get away after a couple of hours. You could talk all night if given the opportunity
Ah the gift of Gab! So many people don't know how to talk anymore. They simply text everything. The art of conversation is almost a lost art. My Kids say I talk to much, I tell them it's because they didn't listen close enough the first time! LOL! Good to here from you Steven. Was hoping everything was good in your world.
Thanks Steven. It was great meeting you and your daughter. I am always happy to help fellow car people whenever I can. I also could have talked cars all night long.
I did get pictures of the car I was telling you about. The Ford dealership where I work has been family owned since 1928. So when this 1970 XL 500 came in, the owner
thought what can of clown would want this ugly two toned thing? It sat in the show room for 6 months without one inquiry on it. So as summer was rolling in he figured
just let the wife drive it as a demo. It's a 390 automatic with air conditioning. Long story short since she was driving it one of her friends had to have it. Flash forward 100,000
miles and the year 2015. The husband passes and the wife(original owners) sell the car back. I have never seen anything like this two tone on any other car. I keep telling
him to do the Marti report to see how rare it is, and when he is tired of it to just give it to me. It has had some rust work patched and the whole car repainted but the interior
is original. I know its not a Mustang but I just think this car is cool with an interesting story.
What I find interesting is there is a Ford dealer that has been and still is family owned since 1928. Out here on the west coast all the smaller family owned dealers are pretty much gone. Now they are all owned by large corporations that own many dealers of all different makes and not just one dealer. Kind of sad.
