smooth window operation on 70 Mach - CUSTOMMISER - 08-15-2022

When ever the windows are cranked up or down they make a popping and groaning sound. Not cool!  They go up and down pretty well but they seem to be binding a little on the weatherstrip (outside, beltline) also.  Weatherstrip is prob 15 year old repop.  Door panels are off, car is in progress. Vertical guides and all pivot points are lubed.  Could it be that coil spring in the mechanism? How do you lube it if needed??  Does any one know of a weatherstrip (fuzzie) that is made with softer rubber?  Thanks!

I would think you could spray some lithium / white grease into the mechanism, where the spring is. This should be pretty easy as they are not sealed tight, so you can take a can of lube put the little red straw on it, and spray away. If you can operate the mechanism while you spray the lube would be sure to get it where it's needed. Hope it Helps.  Cool
