Best radiator for my 69 Mach 1 - NoOnesHero - 10-24-2020 I have a 69 Mach 1 with a 390. It currently has the stock copper radiator in it. As far as the engine goes, it has aftermarket AC, an edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, headers and possibly a mild aftermarket cam, guessing from the sound of it. It tends to overheat. It also has a fan shroud. (Sorry if I'm every where, I remember things here and there). I've purchased a new fan and distributor which I have yet to install. It definitely needed a tune up and I decided to go with a unilite and some new sparkplugs. I'm assuming with those items alone it should help but I wanted to top it off with the best aluminum radiator for this car and where better to find out than this forum? RE: Best radiator for my 69 Mach 1 - 1969_Mach1 - 10-26-2020 Nice car! U.S. Radiator make some good quality radiators. But, can be very expensive. Before spending money on a new radiator, when does it overheat, in town driving, idling, highway speed driving? What type of radiator is currently in the car, 2-row core, 3-row core, 4-row core? What type and size of fan is in the car? What temp thermostat is in the car? Many things can cause it to overheat other than a radiator including something simple like ignition timing not advanced far enough or air fuel mixture too lean.
