New owner of 04 Mach 1 - Dagenham - 07-31-2018

Hi. Not new to Mustangs by any stretch of the imagination. But I am new to this era Mustang. My wife actually wanted one of these for a long time and finally bought one. I know very little about these cars so forgive me if I ask seemingly dumb questions til I learn more about these cars.

Not a problem. As none of us can know everything. Welcome and search to your hearts content, there is a lot of info here, on all Mach1's. Ask any, and all questions we'll do our best to help. Again Welcome.

Welcome to the site!  Are there any special plans for the 2004 Mustang and just curious what other year(s) Mustangs did you own?

RE: New owner of 04 Mach 1 - Dagenham - 09-02-2018

Thanks for the welcome.
Not did own. Do own.
1966 6 cylinder coupe. It's my first car. Owned for 30 years.
1968 coupe. 289 auto, factory a/c. Sprint B package.
1984 SVO. Currently on display at AACA Musuem in Hershey Pa.
1985 Saleen #132
1991 5.0 LX. Wife's car. Kind of a Mach 1 theme modified car. Also on display at AACA
So like I say, no stranger. Just not familiar with this engine mostly. And any of the usual quirks and problems associated with these particular cars.

Sounds like you've got the Mustang bases covered pretty well. Looks like you need a 70's Mach1 to round out the collection! Then you'd have one from each decade. Where do you find time to drive them ???  What is the AACA, as I'm unfamiliar with that club or organization?

Well I goggled it, and I know what it is. I assume the AACA stands for, American Automobile Collectors Association???

RE: New owner of 04 Mach 1 - Dagenham - 09-03-2018

AACA is Antique Automobile Club of America. They have a very nice Musuem in Hershey Pennsylvania

Good to know, I stand corrected. Looks to be a great museum. What years are the main focus, or do they cover it all?

RE: New owner of 04 Mach 1 - Dagenham - 09-03-2018

It has all years of cars. Right now they have a Mustang display until mid October. Then we get our cars back to drive and enjoy. :)
