new member here. joe. i have a client who owns a 71 mach1 351c 2 barrel.

i am doing a "tune up" for her. she asked me to do it after i finnished her campervan into a mobile beauty shop.

turn signals are now the next step on the mach1. it seems to like closer to 10 btc than the 8 btc called for? wondering what is recommended to find a wiring diagram i can refer to.

thanks for this forum.

Welcome Joe,

Do a search here on "wiring diagrams" and you should come up with a list of options that may help you with what you need.

Depending how in-depth you are looking for you can also buy books, downloads and DVD's.

are the amber lites in the grill strictly a running lite with the turn signals located under the bumper? or are they turn signals also?

SSig_welcome4 The ones in the grill are simply running lights. The ones under the bumper are the turn signals. JTS 71 Mach1

thanks. prolly the reason the 1157 bulbs don't fit. lol i guess i will hafta retrofit cause the lenses are gone so they made nice little salt scoops..

you ask, the wires rubbed much? rubbed, cut,, salted, rained on., and some got discarded i am thinking solderless connectors are too easy to use. dielectric greese works wonders when used with the crimpers. lol there are so many rerouts it is hard to tell if connections are bad or switchches are bad.

who likes electrical trouble shooting? (joe quickly lowers hand)

Fortunately for you the 71 Mach1. Has a very simple wiring harness with a minimal amount of wires. I own a 2008 Mustang and it has several harnesses that have 20 to 30 plus wires each. I pray to God I never have a wiring issue with it. As for yours throw us a question, there are enough of us here we'll get it figured out. You just some times have to know when to start over as you did with the taillight harness. SSig_goodjob So fire away. JTS 71 Mach1
