I'm thinking about doing it to the 72 coupe. If it had overdrive it could be used so much better for longer cruises. It seems right now with the 3 speed auto when you cruise at 70+ the motor runs hotter. Im also assuming this would improve highway gas mileage.

No doubt but that an O/D would help with both aspects of heat and mileage.

I have a T-5 that I could put in my Mach 1 but I think that I will get it running first with the FMX and then make the change. I feel that the T-5 will be borderline with the factory 351C 2V and inadequate once I warm the motor up a bit more. Still it will give me my standard and an O/D.
