Hi, new guy here. Referred by another Canadian Mach owner. (he has 2, lucky bastid)

I am the original owner of a 2003 DSG Mach 1.
Other toy is a 2003 Mustang GT convertible. Wanted a convertible since I was 16.
Neighbor had a '65 Pontiac convertible for sale, ma & pa said no. Back in 2006 got wind of a great deal so I jumped on the vert. Great fun.

Attached is a few pictures;

Hi all, I have just purchased a 1972 351 2v Mach 1 and am awaiting it's delivery by low loader truck as its been in storage for a number of years, having been with its last owner for 20 years and needs some maintenance before she is run again. Basically since the 80's I have had many Mach 1s which included 2 x '71s 1x '72 HO and a '69 390 Mach 1. I then got into vettes and presently own a 1990 415ci ZR-1 which I've had for 11 years, I love the vette but also love and have missed owning a Mustang Mach 1. Having recently noticed the prices rising, I thought I'd better move quick and aquire one before they get out of reach.

I spotted this '72 on UK ebay and decided to go for a closer look and made the 100 mile trip to inspect it. The car has a working Ram air hood although the air cleaner is missing, rear slatts, original wheels, hood locks, rear spoiler, pop open gas cap and is generally solid condition, although the roof and hood has the paint peeling off. On closer inspection the car is a good base and would benefit from some TLC, I would give the body around 6 -7 out of ten, the interior around 7-8 and the mechanics around the same.

Having already carried out two restos on Mach 1's before I feel confident I can perform a rolling resto and work on one area at a time to keep this '72 on the road. The first task is to carry out a more thorough examination, change the fluids, get her running and get her ready for the UK road test. After that I can start sourcing things like original carb, manifold, air intake and distributor to get her back to standard. The car has also been converted to right hand drive, which I'm in two minds about? Christmas has come early for me and I now await like a ten year old boy for the car to be delivered this Thursday.

  Mach1Guy says Hello.....

Hello everyone.
I am from Kingston Ontario and I the owner of a 1970 & 2004 Mustang Mach 1. I purchased the 1970 Mach in 1998 after it went through a complete restoration. It was about 90% finished when I purchased it and it’s been a great car. In 2008 I was able to purchase a 2004 Mach with 1,900 original miles from Pennsylvania.
Look forward to hearing all your comments and getting to know fellow Mach 1 Owners. Hopefully everyone enjoys the picture of my Mach’s :)

Hi from the UK!
I purchased the Mach1 351C nearly 5 years ago and have spent a small fortune on it getting it to the standard i wanted it to be.
The car was imported into the UK back in 1972 and to my surprise very little work was needed or had been done to the body when i purchased it.Needless to say i am very pleased with the end resultBig Grin
Cheers
Ian
