Hello everyone,

Thank you for letting me join. I am Jazz and I recently purchased a 1973 Mach 1, H code. I haven’t taken delivery of it yet, it’s having some body work done first, but super excited to get it. I’ll post pics as soon as I get it. I am not a mechanic but I do work on my own cars. I’m sure I’ll need your help, so thanks in advance, especially since I plan to make the Mach 1 my ‘almost’ daily driver. I don’t see many Mach 1’s in my area, so just can’t wait to get it.

Thanks again for letting me join.

Welcome Jazz

Good to have you. You've picked a great car for a daily driver. A good solid car that will put many miles under it's wheels without much trouble at all. As far as help, just ask lots of good people and everybody's willing to help. So feel free.  Cool

Again Welcome

Thank you JTS, I've been going through the site, looks like there are quite a few experts with some great information.
Yep there are some smart people here. and "collectively" there isn't much we don't know.  Or we know someone who does. LOL!  Cool

All for the Love of a Mach1, Enjoy

Wow now that's Pretty! Yellow isn't my favorite color, but Wow. That's a gorgeous Yellow. And that is a very nicely restored Mach1. Doesn't appear to be absolute show quality, but a damn nice example, and drivable in my opinion. Very nice, and well worth the wait. Now the question is. Is it everything you expected? or More??? Cause I think I'd be proud to own it. Cool  Now go have some fun with it, and drive it like you stole it!!! It's more fun that way.  Thumbup

Thank you JTS, you are absolutely right, it's not show quality, but it is what I expected, since it will be my daily driver, and I'm definitely proud to be the current owner. I do have some work to do it - for example AC does not work and I'll need to change the brakes soon, and the automatic gear shift lever is very loose. But these were all known issues. Time for some fun  Thumbup
Nice, are you sure it's a 73?
Nice catch Oz I missed the 73 in the first post? Curious as that is definitely a 71/72 nose, grille and bumper? Simply raises more questions. The dash also has the fasten seat belt light above the glovebox door, which is for sure 72 I believe. Still beautiful though!  Cool

JTS
Oh I am so sorry, yes, it is definitely a '73. The nose, grill and bumper, stripes were all changed to look like a 72. The dash though is a interesting question. not so sure about that one. Marti report shows it was built October '72, but VIN is 73. Here is a before and after.
