I am shopping for agreed value collector car insurance and would appreciate any advice that anyone would have. I talked to Hagerty at World of Wheels yesterday and they sent a quote. I also got quotes online from Chubb and Grundy, both of which seem to be cheaper than Hagerty. I currently have State Farm and they will only insure up to what it appraises at. I have been having trouble getting an appraisal. Thanks.
I have Prudential they just paid me 3000.00 on an insurance claim for my 72 Mach 1. I pay 193.00 every six months for full coverage. Most insurance companies will do Collector Car insurance, it becomes the agreed value when actually deciding on your policy in reality. When the adjuster came to look at mine after the little mishap they said then that they agreed with me that the Mach 1 was valued at least to 15k. But I have now come to an agreed value of 15k at this point. The ceiling they told me would be about 20k for me with them.

I got a DUI in 2004 Loser But because of that I have to wait 7 years before any of the exclusive collector car insurance companies will deal with me.
My 70 Mustang, 78 Lemans & 81 Lemans are all with a Collectors Car company called Silver Wheels http://www.lant-ins.ca/ Rates are great and great people to deal with. Never have had a claim so I don't know how they are to deal with but I've also never heard anything bad. My 04 Mustang is with my everyday insurance company State Farm cause Silver Wheels won't touch it cause its to new. Silver Wheels requests a Apprasial to determine the value.
