Just installed a new Holley 650 Double Pumper carb on my 70 Mach 1 (351 W), with an electric choke (replacing an older manual choke carb). It requires 12V keyed power but only found 4.6V source. Where do you recommend I obtain 12V switched power?
Looking at the 73 wiring diagram it is taken from the alternator or regulator.
If your car has an instrument panel with an alternator gauge (no factory tach) I've heard of people using the S terminal on the voltage regulator. If it is a factory tach car and has an alternator indicator light (no alternator gauge) I think you'll have to go to the ignition switch or fuse block to find a wire with 12V with the key in the run position.

Mike
Sound advise. Stay away from instrument terminals, go for the fuse block.
