Anybody running an electric fan on a 351C in place of the factory one? Just wondering what size you used and how well it works. Mine is pretty cammy (430+ H.P.) and likes to heat up sitting still in the S.C. summer. I just put a 10" electric blowing through the A.C. and into the radiator and it seems to be helping - but it hasn't gotten summertime hot yet.
Thanks!
No, I am not running an electric fan but I did do some research on the possibility of doing so.

I came up with using a Lincoln Mark IV (I believe) electric fan with factory shroud. It was a very factory looking install and pulled more CFM than most aftermarket units.

I don't remember where I got my information but there was a complete write up into a 71-73 Mach I. An Internet search should yield something.
Found a good article here:

I had seen one on using a Taurus fan for a fox body, but not a Lincoln for our cars.
Thanks, Steven.
I believe that might have been the very article of which I spoke.

So it wasn't a 71-73 Mustang but a 72 Montego. Close.

Do you think you might give it a go?
I think I will if I can find a Lincoln fan. I've already got the temp switch, relay, and wiring hooked to the 10" I wired up. There's no reason not to.

If you are unable to locate a Lincoln fan you could try a Spal electric fan. I used one in my first Mustang and never had an issue with overheating or running hot. The only thing I didn't like about the electric fan was the fact you could hear it when it kicked on.
