Hello
Im going thru the my Mack step by step, I noticed that there is no heat comming out of the vents when you actually wants it. The AC has been removed, previous owner told me he had installed a new heat package. When checking the controls all the vacum hoses seems to be connected. Where should I start looking ?

Best Regards Rob
First and simplest item to check is make certain the vacuum hose supplying vacuum to the heater controls is connected to your engine. Also make sure the hose is in good condition and any vacuum reservoir canisters are good. Ford often installed a vacuum storage canister for the heater controls on air conditioned cars. I think it would be on the passenger side inner fender panel in the engine compartment on your car. It's a simple tin can with two small vacuum hoses connected to it. One hose connects to the engine and the other hose connects to the heater/AC controls inside the car.

Hi

I looked at it the other day, seems the hoses from it has been cut or something, Il check it again.

Also check the coolant flow through the heater unit is free.
Hi

I took Everything apart when Im now doing the Engine rebuild. The heater was flushed and its actually a new one. I noticed a broken linkage made of a steel wire or something that goes controller. Ive also noticed some vacuum hoses that are cut of and plugged. So Im gonna put in new vacum hoses. Where can I found a wiring schematic for the hoses and also for the Control, backside there is about 6 hoses something. Should be one in from the vacuum canister and the rest goes out to the vacuum Clocks ..

Have you tried National Parts Depot? Most of the original service manuals are being reproduced. They are a great source of information.

I have the workshop manual, but I didnt find it at first. The controllers are for an AC car but the AC is removed that why I had trouble to sort things out
