Hi
Mach 1 1973

All the meters work but not the lights in the dash. So I changed all the bulbs to led.
Ok so far it works, and dims as it should, I also had two leds in the 3 gauges section that works.

Im fitting all the panels and I test the lights again, nothing..

I remove the cluster and goes over Everything again.

I Put it back in and nothing..

But if I use turnsignals the lights works as it should, also when using the hazard it works.
The 3 gauges section doenst work eighter..

Fuel meter , etc Everything works but no lights ..

Is there anymore fuses to check ?

Its also a brand new battery, and brand new headlight switch.

Were should I look ?

Btw the voltage regulator, if its not working then the meters should not work right ? But there should still be light right ?
You can adjust it with a screwdriver but what does the adjustment do ?

Regards Rob

The first problem sounds like a bad connection where the harness plugs into the cluster, Check for corrosion or even the copper having scraped off the printed circuit plastic as that is all that carries the electricity to the cluster, lights etc. The voltage regulator shouldn't have an external adjustment???? If you've taken the cover off, some did have an adjustment, I believe it would set the high limit of the alternator output. Probably something you don't need to mess with unless you know what your doing, I'd just get a new regulator and be done with it. Hope it helps. JTS 71 Mach1
Hi

Thanks for the reply.

If the Circuit is broken is it possible run Cables instead ?
Or should I try soldering it ?
Getting one to sweden probably takes som time.

Regards Rob
Ok

Ive tested the connector that goes into the cluster, and I dont get any volts at all out of it. The headlightswtich i brandnew. The fan, stereo etc all the direct wired Components work. Where else to look ?

Regards Rob
I would be looking as much at the earth side as the power side. I suspect that is where your problem is.

Any directions where ? The strange thing that it worked, then I put the panels back and It died..

I guess you cleaned up the contacts as you worked, either by accident or design. Nice look!
Thanks , yes I cleaned all the Contact Surfaces

Regards Rob
That is a lot better than it ever looked from the factory!
