So after the reassembly and the sand and buff, I had the graphics put on (one of the few things didn't do. Figured a professional would do a better job) Then a final polish and I started driving it. I had to put the dash pad on but I had a couple of gauges to wire in and fix my center console. I bought a plastic welder from eastwood and it worked very well in fixing my cracked console. I still need to install it, but I put it off having too much fun driving it. I entered it in our local car show 'Wings & wheels " and I took the sponsors choice award first time out. I was very pleased. You will see a couple pictures of my car at the show parked next to my 1966 galaxie 7 Litre convertible and another with my daughter and I standing next to it and one with me and the trophy I won. hope you all like the finished product.

Thanks but don't be too jealous. It's not a true boss. It's a true Q code 4 speed mach 1 though. I really like the more black out on the hood look , so since it's my driver and toy I painted it how I liked. I do however know where there is a true Boss car and I'm 1st in line . . Someday.

Congrats on a job well done and well deserved trophy. Clap_ and kudos to building YOUR car how YOU wanted to. In my opinion that's the best way to enjoy this hobby to the fullest. Once again SSig_goodjobThmbsupAwes
I am not familiar with how much a 1971 Boss would but here is one for sale in NY. Is $65k in the ballpark for this car or is it a bit on the high side?

Comparatively here is a 70 Boss at $35k but missing original motor:

In reference to the '71, I would expect to pay less than market value for a car that is less than completely restored. 65K is at the high end of the spectrum. (Barrett-Jackson not withstanding, those auction prices are fantasy) This gentleman seems to be knowledgeable about the car, and will probably not move a whole lot on the price judged by the other stuff he has for sale. Obviously, all sellers want windfall profits. One would think that the seller would at least paint or replace that mini-console that is missing it's ashtray (cheap fix) as it looks like hell - and that aftermarket radio..... I think it's interesting to note that he went the chalk-mark and decal routine but didn't take care of these other obvious items. I don't think he really wants (or needs) to sell the car, I think he's fishing for a very high offer. It does not appear that this car is well-optioned either. (I noticed it does not even have power steering) Highly optioned Bosses bring better money (show me the Marti report). That all said, yeah, that price is too high IMHO. Headscratch GXR
Yes I agree. The price is deffinately way to high for the condition and options. But who knows some sucker may pony up the cash.

Yeah some "Sucker" Loser ponying up the dough, is the problem itself. Cause then they all think they can get that much for one. Notallthere JTS 71 Mach1
