gents,

i'm thinking of converting my drum brakes to discs all round and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a set to me? my mustang is a 1969 302. also, does anyone know what the maximum tyre width is that will fit on the car?

many thanks, andy
Welcome Andy.

Great to have you here with us.

I am going to hazard a guess that you are outside the U.S. (tyres).

That may make a difference on what recommendations for a brake swap are real options. There are several salvage yard options and then there are companies that sell "kits".

Most kits will also want to know if you are starting with a drum/drum setup or a disc/drum setup in that the front hubs are different.

After all of that. No, I can't recommend anything for you personally as I am not a 69 owner who has made that swap. We will see who else comes along and what advice they may have for you.

My car was fitted with "vintage venom" discs out back and seem to work really well on my 70 Mach 1.

My fronts are huge 14 inch discs.

I cant answer the tire and wheel question because mine has newer style wheels and they friggen rub and I hate it. i bought it that way and the tires are too new to replace just yet.Sad
